In the popular ski resort area of Niseko, on the pristine island of Hokkaido in Japan, there is a cluster of resort developments crowned by the tall Niseko Hilton Hotel tower. These developments are knitted together in a “village” environment that links the hotels, provides retail and recreational amenities, and fosters a European ski destination atmosphere. The Masterplan consists of a retail street, additional long-stay residential, and special “ski landings” that activate the village center. The development is designed to encourage use all year round, with summer sports amenities within the facilities.
